Reporting to the CEO and member of the Management Committee, you will be responsible for the structuring, planning, development and implementation of Luxinnovation’s Marketing & Communications strategy and activities, covering communications, media relations, digital marketing, branding and event management. You will manage the MarkCom team and will also lead Luxinnovation’s MarkCom contribution to Luxembourg Trade & Invest, Start-Up Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub.
We are looking for a Luxembourgish, English and French-speaking strategic thinker and communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong knowledge of Luxembourg public and private actors as well as the European and international context, and a proven track record in structuring and leading teams and activities.

Responsibilities
In close coordination with the CEO and the Management Committee, develop, drive and implement an overarching Marketing and Communications strategy for Luxinnovation:
- Impulse the MarkCom service’s strategic direction as well as define priorities and coordinate cross-functional initiatives in alignment with the Government and with Luxinnovation’s other key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the formulation and evolvement of Luxinnovation’s vision and mission.
- Contribute to the marketing and communications work of “Luxembourg Trade & Invest“ and “Research Luxembourg” and ensure alignment of narratives and content
- Design and formulate annual objectives, action plans and projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of planned activities.
- Develop and monitor statistics and KPI’s for the Marketing & Communications activities.
Be responsible for organising the work and ensuring a high-quality delivery of MarkCom activities:
- Conceive, streamline, and implement the global communication plan that support Luxinnovation needs, to maximise impact in a resource-efficient way.
- Build and sustain Luxinnovation’s brand and reputation.
- Direct the teams, orchestrate workflows and report on a regular basis to the CEO.
- Develop and drive storyboards adapted to Luxinnovation’s different national and international target groups to spread through different communication partners, channels, platforms and tools.
- Coordinate and drive Luxinnovation’s production and positioning of consistent and relevant narratives, stories, editorial on- and offline content.
- Work closely with the teams within Luxinnovation to identify target groups and develop content on Luxinnovation’s services relevant to various audiences.
- Ensure delivery of key-messages, presentations and speeches for the CEO that are adapted to the target audience.
- Support Luxinnovation teams by providing them with tools and skills to communicate with regard to their areas of expertise whenever relevant or required.
- In collaboration with the HR department, advise, propose and implement several internal communication initiatives/actions.
Lead media relations initiatives:
- Build and expand Luxinnovation’s media network and address book.
- Develop a media outreach plan for Luxinnovation.
- Establish a consistent and relevant news flow to media and on Luxinnovation’s social media platforms.
- Prepare and conduct interviews, briefings, and panels.
- Build trustful relationships with relevant Luxembourgish and international media.
- Manage key issues related to media relations at national and international level.
- Act as the go-to-person for communication departments of Ministries and partner organisations.
- Manage crisis communication in case of need.
Team management:
- Plan and organise the daily work of your team.
- Ensure an efficient and structured allocation of resources.
- Supervise, provide training, and support the development of the team members under your responsibility.
- Evaluate their annual performance and work closely with HR to define learning & development plans.
- Ensure smooth communication and information sharing with your N+1.
- Execute administrative management tasks (validations, leaves, home office, reporting, etc.)
- With the support of more senior team members, maintain guidelines, procedures, and knowledge capitalisation tools to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the team.
Development and continuous improvement:
- Review best practices and develop a breadth of knowledge about current trends, emerging issues, and new development opportunities.
- Develop ready-to-use communication material consistently aligned with Luxinnovation strategy and Government priorities.
- Implement toolkits to standardize and facilitate project and event preparation.
- Continuously measure and evaluate communications and marketing performance through the use of analytics to maximize effectiveness and budget efficiency of initiatives.
Develop skills and networks:
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with key partners.
- Nurture close relationships with key stakeholders within the ecosystem, notably within the public administration, to ensure strategic alignment.
- Stay abreast of activities and services that are offered and being developed by all Luxinnovation departments, seek synergies, and develop joint actions.
Skills and qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business Administration, International Relations or related field.
- 15 years of work experience in communication and marketing, project management (including planning, implementation, financial management and reporting) and /or corporate communication.
- Very good knowledge of the public and private ecosystem in Luxembourg
- Keen interest in a daily follow-up of Luxembourg political and economical news.
Technical & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and ability to ensure strong cohesion of messages.
- Strategic thinker with ability to formulate advanced concepts and solutions that demand a high degree of creativity, innovation, and technological expertise.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with excellent people management skills and ability to structure work and teams.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multitask as necessary to meet a deadline.
- Networker and relationship builder.
- You know how to manage multiple stakeholders with different sensitivities and ways of operating.
